Irina specialises in labour law and personal data protection.

For 20+ years, she has been assisting big and medium-sized businesses with all employment-related legal issues, including drafting agreements, mediating company disputes with top management, providing support in complex dismissal and relocation cases, and assisting with personnel transfer as part of business restructuring.

Irina also has many years’ experience of advising companies on personal data protection, particularly confidentiality, workplace monitoring and cross-border data transfer.

She has authored internal policies: internal work regulations, data protection, privacy and anti-corruption policies.

Advising an international publishing group on new employment contracts with top management due to task shifting and drafting a new incentive scheme (severance payments, retention bonuses, retirement programmes, etc.) (2024-present)

Advised a leading investment company on termination of labour relations with several top managers, including mediation and drafting agreements (2024)

Advised Chinese partners on the personal data protection regulations and liability for violations, and on application of Law No. 236-FZ (Law on «landing» of foreign IT companies) (2023)

Advised a major international manufacturer of medical products on personal data protection: drafting policies on protection of employee and third-party data and on collaboration with medical institutions and physicians, developing sample consent forms for personal data processing, preparing documents and notifying Roskomnadzor (Russia’s IP rights and data protection authority) of personal data processing being launched (2022-2023)

Advised a global consulting firm on a mass transfer of employees overseas. The project covered 4 jurisdictions (2022)

Legal defence of an international paint major in a dispute over reinstatement, as well as a top manager’s claim for salary recovery (2019-2022)

Provided regular advice to a major international aircraft manufacturer on various employment law issues, including bonus and incentive payments, termination of top management, redundancy compensation and employee reassignment (2015-2022)

Provided long-term support for the operations of a major hotel chain in Russia, including assistance with regulating labour relations: drafting various types of employment contract (permanent, terminal, remote, hybrid) and internal policy, helping in settling labour disputes and in internal investigations, advising on immigration law issues, etc (2014-2022)
